Rockélet gamerjei egyesüljetek! …Ez a mondat is lehetne az alcíme a nemrég megjelent rock- és gaming-világbeli műalkotásnak, a Tim Schafer „játékguru” és Jack Black (kerek-rockguru) nevével fémjelzett Brütal Legendnek. Hogy Jack itt is hülyéskedik-e annyit mint a Tenacious D-ben? Legyen elég annyi, hogy én már a traileren könnyesre röhögtem magam: “dreamjob”.
A játék főhőse Eddie Riggs (JB), ki alapjáraton a világ legprofibb, leghíresebb, és legtehetségesebb….roadja…(itt hívnám fel a figyelmet, hogy ki nem tudja mi az a road az kezdjen sürgősen süllyedni). Eddiet egy varázslat egy rocktörténelem előtti korba taszítja, ahol sok-sok rocktól megóvott nép várja, hogy megismertessék velük az igazi metált…nomeg, hogy felszabadítsák őket az elnyomó démmonoktól. Eddien hát a sor, hogy Clementine névre hallgató flying-V gitárjával, és a heavy metal erejével roadból rockistenné vájon…najó, néha a hatamas csatabárdjára is szüksége lesz. A játék története a Timtől elvárt színvonalat (ha nem tudod ki ez, válassz a roados megjegyzés, vagy ez között: link), Jack hatása pedig több, mint erőteljesen érvényesül a karakter tulajdonságaiban…leginkább a humora.
A játékban megjelennek a valós rock- és metálélet nagyjai is, például Lemmy Killmeister (Motörhead), Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Lita Ford (The Runaways), valamint feltűnik Ronnie J. Dio is.
